Foam Materials Guide

Foam Materials — PU Foam, Memory Foam, Latex Foam & More

The materials behind our upholstery, mattress, and cushion components — each available in custom density, firmness, and form.

PU Foam

Polyurethane (PU) foam is a flexible, open-cell foam produced by reacting polyol with a diisocyanate (typically MDI or TDI) during foaming. Density and firmness are controlled during production, which is why PU foam covers such a wide range of applications — from soft cushion fill to firm structural padding. It is the base material behind most of our upholstery, mattress, and cushion components, available as raw blocks, cut sheets, or finished parts.

High Density Foam

A higher-density PU foam formulation, offering greater load-bearing capacity and a firmer feel — commonly used where longer service life and shape retention matter more than softness.

HR Foam

High-resilience PU foam, engineered for faster rebound and a more supportive feel than standard-density PU foam — a common choice for seating and upholstery applications.

Rebonded Foam

Recycled PU foam scrap, shredded and rebonded into new blocks. A lower-cost alternative to virgin-grade PU foam, suited to applications where cost matters more than surface finish.

Memory Foam

Memory foam is a slow-recovery, viscoelastic form of polyurethane foam. Unlike standard PU foam, which rebounds quickly, memory foam softens under body heat and pressure, then slowly returns to shape — a property that makes it a common choice for mattress comfort layers, toppers, and pillows where pressure distribution matters more than fast rebound.

Latex Foam

Latex foam is produced from natural or synthetic rubber latex, rather than polyurethane. It offers a springier, more elastic feel than PU foam, with faster rebound than memory foam, and is commonly specified for mattress and cushion applications where buyers want a natural-material option.
